Introduction: Xylem and phloem are complex tissues present in the plant are also known as transport tissues. They are vascular tissues and together they form vascular bundles in plants. Xylem helps in the transportation of solutes and water from roots towards the leaves and Phloem transports the food from leaves to the aerial parts of the plants.
