Introduction: The underground branching root systems are often more extensive than aerial part of plant. The extension of root depth and spread of a plant differ for another plant species and it also varies among individuals of same species. The modified forms of roots are the adventitious roots that arise from the stem nodes. There are various aerial modified roots that are adapted for functions other than absorption, conduction, anchorage, or storage.
