Introduction: The limb formation in animals was identified to be the function of the family of genes known as the Hox gene. Davis and his colleagues worked on two of the member genes of the family of the Hox genes. The limbs allowed tetrapods to move to different places and made them one of the most successful groups of organisms in the world.
