Introduction:

In an ecosystem, the transfer of energy from one trophic level to the other is known as the energy flow. It is depicted in the form of food chains and food webs. The food chains and food webs also show the path of movement of nutrients between the organisms.

A trophic level is a position or level that a group of organisms occupy in the food chain within an ecosystem. Producers synthesize their own food. Consumers feed on the producers. Decomposers feed on waste and dead organisms.
