The nurse should first ask her what she meant by being normal again. The nurse can assess that due to her fatigue and pain she might be feeling low self-esteem about her body. She might have increased in weight due to stress, fatigue, and medication. Moreover, she is worried about whether she can give care to her granddaughter and daughter.
The patients with low self-esteem have a lack of confidence and become more dependable. Hence, the nurse must assess the situation and involve step by step procedure to increase their self-confidence.
