Introduction: Endocrine glands are ductless glands. These glands are part of the endocrine system that produces chemical substances known as hormones that are directly released into the circulation to act on target tissues. Adrenal glands are small triangle-shaped endocrine glands located on top of each kidney. The important hormones produced by these glands are cortisol, epinephrine, norepinephrine and sex hormones.
