Summary Introduction
Todetermine: The cause and mechanisms of sporogenesis and germination.
Concept introduction:
Bacteria such as Clostridium, Cacillus, and Clostridium produces endospores, which are dormant bodies. These bacteria have a two-phase life cycle, a vegetative cell and an endospore. The process of endospore formation by bacteria in challenging environmental conditions, is called sporulation. The process in which endospores and exospores goes back to its vegetative state, is called germination.
