Summary Introduction

To review:

A trait out of endothermic, feathers, and hair that was most likely to get convergent evolved in at least two lineages, the functional relationship among these traits and the reason, which make the paleontologists conclude about the endothermic nature of many extinct theropods.

Introduction:

Endothermy is the ability of an organism to maintain its body temperature irrespective of the temperature of the surroundings. Most of the vertebrates like mammals and birds are endotherms. The animals that are not able to maintain their body temperature are called as the ectotherms, like reptiles and amphibians. Body heat is maintained with the help of an insulation cover that prevents the body heat from getting escaped to the outer environment.
