Introduction:
Chordate is the phylum which a well-adapted group of animals including human beings possess. These chordates will have a distinct notochord and dorsal hollow nerve cord which is often referred to as the spinal cord, pharyngeal cleft, and pouches or slits. They also have a post-anal tail. In these the pharyngeal pouches, the post-anal tail will be present only during the embryonic development.
