Explanation of Solution

Atherosclerosis is a condition which occurs when the arteries become narrow due to the deposition of fatty material called plaque inside them. Due to this, the arteries become so narrow that the oxygenated blood cannot be transported to the heart.

Omega-3 Fatty acid is considered as a healthy fat. These fats are responsible for reducing the amount of triglyceride in blood and thus decrease the risk of formation of plaques. Omega-3 fatty acid is found in mackerel fish and that’s why eating it daily could reduce the heart risks.

Consumption of two glasses of red wine is also beneficial as red wine have resveratrol. It is an antioxidant which is found in red wine. The antioxidants protect the body from the agents like free radicals that cause damage to the blood vessels. It is believed that frequent consumption of red wine with the meal reduces the risk of heart diseases.

Conclusion

The cardiovascular diseases can be avoided by following a healthy lifestyle. Like not smoking, eating healthy, and doing exercises to keep our mind and body healthy are effective ways to reduce the risks of heart diseases.
