Introduction:
The integumentary system of body mainly comprised of skin and its components like hair, scale feathers, and so on. The skin is the outer covering of body and it has important role in protection of body from external environment. The skin also helps in the regulation of body temperature. The skin manufactures precursor molecule that is converted into “vitamin D after exposure to UV light (from sun)”. The body requires vitamin D for the absorption of calcium to promote the bone growth and development.
