Summary Introduction
Abdominal hysterectomy is a surgical procedure in which uterus is been removed. The removal of uterus takes place through an incision in the lower area of the abdomen. Abdominal assessment should be necessarily performed by the nurse in order to find any discomfort followed by the surgery. The assessment of the abdomen should be made in an orderly manner. This includes inspection, auscultation, palpation, and percussion.
