Introduction: Endoplasmic reticulum is mainly classified into smooth endoplasmic reticulum and rough endoplasmic reticulum. RER originates from the ribosomes. They are primarily present in the protein forming cells. Smooth endoplasmic reticulum is a network of membranous sacs and tubes, but do not have attached ribosomes.
