Introduction: The experiment by Hillig and Mahlberg was to find out the importance of the cannabinoid ratio in Cannabis. They want to know whether the plants of same species maintain a similar concentration of organic molecules within their body. Hence, they used a number of extracts and calculated the cannabinoid ratio for each of the extracts and then took an average to produce a standard ratio value for the plants. The environmental effects on plants are phased out by the use of a large number of extracts from a different area.
