Introduction: The blood vessels are involved in transporting blood all over the body. The blood vessels comprise three major groups, namely, veins, capillaries, and arteries. The veins transport the blood from different body parts to the heart. The veins are found either deep inside the body or underneath the skin. The major veins that drain the abdomen, thorax, and pelvis include superior and inferior vena cava, brachiocephalic, renal, common iliac veins, and others.
