Concept introduction:Monoclonal antibodies are the immunoglobulins that are synthesized in the laboratory using hybridoma technology to get specificity for only one epitope to which it binds. A tumor cell comprises surface receptors such as cell adhesion molecules, growth factors, cytokine receptors, etc. that are biologically active. Therefore, monoclonal antibodies can be used as an anti-cancer agent that binds only to the target cancer cell.
