Introduction Transpiration is the process that involves the loss of water in the form of vapor from the plants through stomata that is present in the leaves. Transpiration is referred as “unavoidable evil” because transpiration can sometimes be extremely injurious to plants. Excessive transpiration often results in retarded growth of the plants and kills many plants by dehydration.
