The covalent bond is a type of chemical bond which involves the sharing of pair of electrons between atoms. This type of bond is also known as molecular bond. For example the covalent bond in hydrogen molecule is depicted in the below diagram. In this, the outer most electrons of the hydrogen atoms are shared equally, in order to complete the octet and attain stability.
