String:

In C++, a string is a data type used to hold a set of characters without spaces.

• A values can be assigned to the string variable.
• Like numeric data types, string values can be displayed on the output screen using cout stream object.

Example:

//variable declaration and definition

string stu_name= "Sameera";

• Here the variable “stu_name” is defined as string can hold a set of characters without spaces.
