Introduction:
The organic compounds which are fatty, waxy, or oily are known as lipids. These compounds are hydrophobic and many of them incorporate fatty acids. The region of the fatty acids having a carboxyl group “head” is hydrophilic, and a long hydrocarbon chain “tail” is hydrophobic.
