Explanation of Solution

The given information is that, the histograms for four manufactured sets of numbers which have the same 5-number summary and the boxplot for all four sets are identical to the one shown.

Boxplot:

In the boxplot, the vertical lines of the center box represent the quartiles of the distribution. The left end of the box is the first quartile, the middle one is median and the right end of the box is third quartile

From the boxplot it is observed that, the box and whisker are more extended to the right side hence the distribution is skewed right.

Here the boxplot doesn’t tell much about distribution except for the Skewness. The boxplot given could show a distribution that has more than one mode like the first histogram, only one mode that is unimodal like the second histogram, has clusters and gapes like the third histogram and has outliers like the fourth histogram.
