• • DNS stands for Domain Name System.
• • It is the way that internet domain names are located and translated into internet protocol address.
• • Domain name is the address of network which provides the information about that domain.
  • ○ It is defined by following the rules, processes and procedures of the Domain Name System (DNS).
  • ○ Any name specified through DNS is a domain name.
