Chapter 3, Problem 17TY
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Depth perception is the ability to view things around an individual in three-dimensions. It also enables humans to estimate the distance of objects from their point of view. It gets developed during the infantile stage of life. Depth perception is supported by various cues, mainly monocular cues that require the use of one eye, and binocular cues that require the use of both the eyes. Monocular cues are also referred to as pictorial depth cues as they impart an illusion of depth to images and paintings.
