Introduction: The cell membrane is a thin, elastic, and flexible covering that holds the cellular contents. It is also called as the plasma membrane, which is the actively functioning part of the living system. It regulates the movement of substance in and out of the cell. It consists of a lipid bilayer of phospholipid molecules, proteins, and less carbohydrate that maintains the cell integrity.
