Introduction:

Some of the projections, found outside the bacterial cell, are used for movement, attachment, and even in conjugation. Just like prokaryotic cells, some unicellular organisms also show movement through projections. Some of the projections seen in prokaryotic organisms are flagella, pili and fimbriae, and cilia in eukaryotic organisms.
