Summary Introduction
Liposomes are spherical vesicles that possess a lipid bilayer surrounded by a hollow core. Liposomes are widely used as a vehicle for the administration of pharmaceutical drugs (delivery to tumors or other disease sites) and nutrients. Once, a mixture of phospholipids and water is agitated, the phospholipid bilayer bend itself and bond together in order to form spheres, which is termed as liposomes.
