Introduction:
As a result of aging, degeneration of an organ system occurs, and it is referred to as senescence. Degeneration occurs after the age of highest functional efficiency, such as reduced ability to repair damage, increased susceptibility to disease, gradual loss of reserve capacities, and compensate for stress.
