To distinguish:

In-between the lobe-finned and ray-finned bony fishes.

Introduction:

The class of fish, which is remarked by the presence of skeleton, is formed of the bony tissues. The smaller bony plates called cycloids make the exoskeleton of these fishes.

The mouth of the bony fish is positioned at the anterior tip. There are two pairs of oral jaws. There are definite four pairs of the gills in the bony fishes. The bony fishes have air bladder for the buoyancy. The bony fishes include “lobed-finned fishes” and “ray-finned fishes”.
