Introduction:

The evolution of plant growth has changed over the years. It began with single-celled plants, which was followed by haploid and diploid plants. The plants contain male and female gametophytes for reproduction where the pollens represent the male gametophyte. The pollens fuse with the female gametophyte by means of either self or cross-fertilization.
