Summary Introduction

Introduction:

In-plant,a growing tissue is called meristem that produces new tissues and structures throughout its life. Meristem tissues consist of undifferentiated Meristematic cells that are found in zones of the plant where growth happens. Meristematic cells generate various parts and growthof the plant. Meristem is of two types: Root meristem and Apical Meristem. Apical meristems are responsible for theincrease in the plant length. It produces epidermis, ground tissue, primary xylem & phloem. A vacuole is aplant cell organelle, which functions to hold liquids or ions. This holds water to its membrane surroundingthe chamber. Vacuole is surrounded by tonoplast that can expand and fills itself with water known as cell sap.
