E-notation:

A scientific notation displays a numeric value in an exponential notation.

• The exponential notation is represented by “E”.

Example to represent the E-notation:

Consider the number “64392.86”.

Step1: Convert a number given to the scientific notation.

In scientific format, a number “64392.86” is represented as $6.439286\times {10}^4$, where ${10}^4$ is equal to “10000” and “ $6.439286\times 10000$” is equal to “64392.86”. Here, the first part, “6.439286” is represented as “mantissa” and “mantissa” is multiplied by the power of “10”.

Step 2: Convert the scientific format to E-notation.

The number “ $6.439286\times {10}^4$” is represented in E-notation as “6.439286E4”, where “E” is the power of “10”.
