Summary Introduction
To explain: The way in which one can identify the disease-causing organism if a species of insects are dying from a disease that results in the production of cysts.
Introduction: Some of the protists have the ability to produce cysts in harmful conditions. These protists undergo sexual reproduction and release cysts. Cysts are composed of a tough and hard cell wall. The purpose of the cysts is to protect the protist. However, after the unfavorable conditions are over, the cysts grow back into a protist.
