Introduction:
AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is one of the most important sexually transmitted diseases. It is a viral infection, which is caused by HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). This disease is marked by suppression of the immune system that results in the increased susceptibility towards other infections that can be fought by the immune system of the person.
