Weldability is the ability of the metal to be welded under fabricated atmospheres imposed into a specific task, to perform satisfaction in the intended service and suitably designed structures. Weldability involves the filler metal, the metallurgy of the metal, the weld penetration, the joint design, the heat treatment before and after welding, complexity of the welded system and selection of the methods.

If a metal is welded properly with maximum comfort, it is known as the good weldability. The term good weldability can also be referred to as producing suitable welds with minimum effort by using any process of welding.Pre-weld and post-weld operations are not required for metalswhich have good weldability.At the same time, it can also prevent from weld failure.
