Chapter 27, Problem 15E
Summary Introduction

To explain: The reason behind the translation of mRNA can be inhibited by a segment of its complementary sequence called anti-sense RNA.

Concept introduction: mRNA is a messenger RNA that transfers the information from DNA molecule to ribosomes. This specifies the amino acid sequence for the synthesis of protein. The sequence of three mRNA nucleotides that codes for the amino acids during the translation process is called codon. Translation is the process of production of protein molecules from the mRNA sequence. A translation process takes place in the ribosomes to produce the biologically useful proteins.
