Introduction:

GnRH is a gonadotrophin-releasing hormone produced by the hypothalamus to stimulate the secretion of gonadotrophins from the pituitary gland. This hormone is not secreted from the hypothalamus until a child reaches puberty. The sudden increase in the secretion of this hormone from hypothalamus marks the beginning of puberty.
