Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Nutrition is the basis of all life activities, and it is taken care of by the process called metabolism. In metabolism, the raw materials are taken up and undergo the digestive process by breaking down the large molecules into small biomolecules. These small biomolecules are further absorbed by the intestinal cells and energy to all living things is provided.

Nutrients are considered as the energy-giving substances; some substances have no calories. Some other substances are not considered as nutrients but are considered as important components present in our body.
