The characteristic features of an unsaturated fatty acid.
Introduction:
Unsaturated fatty acids of 12 to 24 carbon chains are liquid in form. At low temperature (below room temperature), all saturated fatty acid are solids, whereas all unsaturated fatty acids are liquids. Their liquid property is due to the presence of double bonds.
