Introduction:

The pancreas is a flat, spongy glandular organ. It is located between the body wall and the stomach measuring 12 to 15 cm in length and 2.5 cm thick. It is both an exocrine and endocrine gland, which is involved in secreting many important hormones, enzymes, etc. It is a digestive organ that secretes 1,200 to 1,500 mL of pancreatic juice every day. Cholecystokinin hormone’s function is to regulate the secretions of bile and pancreatic juices.
