Introduction:
The glands that release hormones in the bloodstream are termed as an endocrine gland. The adrenal gland is a type of endocrine gland that is present at the top of kidneys. The adrenal gland has two regions. These are adrenal medulla and adrenal cortex. The hormones released by these two portions respond to stress. The people who face long-term stress are at higher risk of heart attacks.
