Introduction:
Water is essential for all living forms including plants, animals, and humans. It is a colorless and tasteless chemical substance found on earth surface. Our earth is surrounded by approximately 70 % of water. Chemically it consists of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen joined by a covalent bond. It is polar in nature as form hydrogen bond with each other. It is amphoteric in nature means it behaves like both acid and base. It is a good solvent. Plant needs water for the preparation of food as it serves as a raw material for photosynthesis.
