Introduction:
The location of respiratory regulatory centers within the reticular formation occurs through both the medulla oblongata and the pons. The regulatory nucleus housed within the medulla oblongata is known as the medullary respiratory center. The medullary respiratory center contains two distinct groups of nuclei known as a ventral respiratory group (VRGs) and dorsal respiratory group (DRG).
