Introduction:

The renal corpuscle of nephron filters the blood plasma and allows only smaller substances to enter the capsular space. This fluid is termed as filtrate. The filtrate then enters the renal tubule, consisting of the proximal tubule, nephron loop, and distal tubule. The filtrate there undergoes tubular reabsorption and secretion and then enters the collecting duct and is termed as urine.
