RAAS (renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system) represents a composite system, its main function is balancing the systemic blood pressure (SBP) and preserving the GFR (glomerular filtration rate). It significantly affects tubular reabsorption in the collecting system and nephron, to balance electrolyte and blood volume.
