Introduction: Water potential is essential for a plant as it transports water and nutrients in a plant. The movement of water depends on the solute concentration and pressure. Water potential determines the direction of water movement which is represented by the Greek letter psi, Ψ. In plants, water moves by osmosis from the region of higher solute concentration to region of lower solute concentration.
b.
To determine: The graph and to identify the pressure potential in mid-August and in mid-February.
c.
To analyze: The graph and determine c) the factor that contributed the most when a low water potential was observed and whether these plants appeared more wilted during dry season.
