Question
Chapter 24.3, Problem 6WDYL
Summary Introduction
To analyze:
The diagram and labeling of the components of the nephron.
Introduction:
The kidney is the main excretory organ of the body. Each kidney consists of renal cells called the nephrons. These are the primary structural and functional units of kidneys. These are associated with the filtration of the blood that enters the kidneys and the subsequent elimination of the filtrate as urine.

Make a sketch of ONE complete Nephron in the kidney and label to show the blood flow (mark with red) and urine flow in this nephron (you can also use arrow to indicate flow direction).
Remember only ONE nephron in your kidney. show the correct location of this nephron (Cortical vs. Juxtamedullary Nephrons) in the entire kidney.
show the correct blood tubings within the nephron (I should be able to tell afferent and efferent arteriole from your sketch; also your nephron is closely associated with two capillary bed )
The diagram below illustrates a nephron, with an enlargement of the glomerulus shown to the right. Use the labelled structures to
answer the questions which follow. Note that structures which appear both in the diagram on the left and on the 'detail' diagram
are labelled with the same letter in both places.
