The student nurse reviews the procedure and performs the procedure. While performing the procedure, a comment from the patient made her realize that she had contaminated the catheter. The student needs to make decisions like whether she had to admit that she had done a mistake and start with a new order or continue with the procedure as if nothing had happened.
