Chapter 24, Problem 2MC
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Sperm is a reproductive cell that develops from the male reproductive organ. Sperm cell fuses with the female reproductive cell called ovum, the process of the mating of sperm and the ovum is called fertilization. Sperm is produced by testis and it is stored in an epididymis. Sperm passes through a tubular duct called vas deferens from the epididymis and joins the urethra. The sperm moves inside the prostate gland which is the male accessory glands. This gland adds fluid to the sperm to form semen which finally passes from the penis.

Vas deferens → testes → seminal vesicles → prostate gland →bulbourethral glands → urethra C. Testes → seminal vesicles → vas deferens → prostate gland -bulbourethral glands → urethra D. Testes → vas deferens → seminal vesicles → prostate gland -bulbourethral glands → urethra Identify the variation of chromosome structure that is excised and rotated 180 degree within the same chromosome. A. Duplication B. Inversion C. Nondisjunction D. Non-rotation
How do tubal ligations and vasectomies prevent further pregnancies? Select one: a. The corpus luteum and the epididymis are suppressed using a chemical swab. The fertilized egg could no longer implant in the endometrium. b. The Fallopian tubes and vas deferens are cut and tied off, thereby preventing the movement of the eggs and sperm. c. The Fallopian tubes and the vas deferens are cut. Eggs and sperm can no longer be produced. d. The Fallopian tube and vas deferens are cut and tied off, thereby reducing needed reproductive hormone levels.
