Aerobic respiration occurs when oxygen is plenty and when there is a less energy requiring process. Anaerobic respiration occurs when there is deficiency of oxygen. Carbohydrates are important in energy giving process; during exercise, the energy requirement is always high, so muscle needs anaerobic respiration.
