To discuss:
The clinical relevance of ionizing radiation; its three forms; the difference between the physical and biological half-life of a radioisotope; and the relevance of that difference.
Introduction:
Atoms are joined together to form an element, which is further grouped into compounds. When an atom has the same proton number and varies in the neutron number that is said to be isotopes. If an atom has ionizing capacity, it is said to be dangerous and it causes free radicals. If an isotope undergoes radioactive decay, it is said to be a radioisotope.
